Heywood Wakefield made good quality furniture for many years before they began using molded plastic to make chairs for schools etc, about the 1960's. This round advertising piece is made of that plastic material and measures about 3-7/8 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. This was an advertising piece given to stores to show customers how attractive, durable and care-free this material was. Impressed into the top it says "Hey Woodite Solid Plastic Heywood Wakefield Patent Pending U.S.Patent.Off.633,179". The back is totally plain, shown in last photo.
