This is a fun and colorful Memphis style choker necklace made in the 1980s. This necklace is a perfect example of Memphis style with its bold geometric shapes and bright blocks of color. It would be a perfect necklace to wear to an art gallery opening.
The central element of this necklace is a large marbled lucite disk in a shade of teal blue. Four straight line grooves have been incised into this disk and painted white. Sitting in relief on top of this disk is a yellow three-dimensional triangle incised with dots that have been painted white and a round domed button-like shape in two shades of dark purple.
