Pelouze Mfg. Co. of Chicago had a patent pending on this candy scale June 28th, 1927. The scale has the original gold base paint on the metal with brass around the scale slide parts. The scale weighs ounces up to 2 pounds on one side of the slide with the cost of the weight on the opposite side for candy costing from 5 to 60 cents a pound. The measurements are still readable as in the photos.
