This classic picnic camper food storage tin, was made in the 1930's. The box is coated with white porcelain enamel, both inside and outside, with a navy blue trim at the edge. The lid with folding handle is made from nickel plated steel. On the bottom of the box is the companies logo, a standing lion and the name Baumann, stamped in black. There are some old chips in the enamel along the bottom edge of the box which have been covered with white enamel paint. There are also a few small chips in the navy blue top edge of the box. See Photos. The fitted lid has some signs of wear in the nickel surface, a few scratches and dots. Truly a classic example of industrial design still ready and able to store your favorite foods and treasures.
